Cyndi Lauper – The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough

There was no better time to be an American boy than 1985. This video sums it all up, it is without a doubt in my mind, the best music video ever made. MTV wasn’t complete rubbish then and I remember how excited I was when new videos premiered. I also get a kick out of seeing the $600,000 octopus in this music video, even a bit of the movie footage, but it was ultimately edited out from the final version of The Goonies.

Aleksander Barkov’s best plays of 2023-2024 NHL Season

Many say that Connor Mcdavid is currently the best hockey player. He definitely accelerates unlike anyone I’ve seen, but he is also non-existent in some games and due to playing way too minutes minutes, he isn’t 100% at the end of games, when it matters most.

If I had a team and could start by picking any player, I would choose Barkov. There would be no doubts. Not only is he the best “defensive” forward, but he is always a scoring threat as he is difficult to move off of the puck and he has incredible hockey intuition.

Sergei Bobrovsky – Stanley Cup Champion

Fatality – G Willikers 1991 Thrashfest

During the late 1980’s to early 1990’s, the South Jersey / Philadelphia area had one of the best music scenes anywhere. I can’t even begin to think of how many bands like Deicide, Obituary, Death, Carcass, Napalm Death and Biohazard that played G Willikers, the local club. It was only about 2 miles from my house and I remember being at concerts there at least a few nights a week. They were some of the best years of my life and one of the longest periods where I felt connected to others. The world made sense.
